Advanced switchable privacy for contemporary architecture.

Glass-walled conference room with switchable smart glass partitions

Overview

An electrically controlled privacy glass that changes between transparent and frosted using PDLC technology, for projects that call for an integrated, premium glass finish.

Switchable Smart Glass

Switchable Smart Glass is an electrically controlled privacy-glass solution that changes between transparent and frosted states using Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) technology. When power is ON, the glass becomes transparent; when power is OFF, it turns opaque or translucent to provide visual privacy. It is designed for projects that call for an integrated, premium glass finish.

Installation

Smart glass is made to order for each opening, so accurate measurement is the first step.

  1. Site measurement and confirmation of framing or patch-fitting details.
  2. Manufacturing of laminated panels to your sizes and glass thickness.
  3. Installation in frames, channels or with patch fittings.
  4. Electrical connection to transformers and controls, concealed in the frame or ceiling.
  5. Testing and handover with operating and care guidance.
